About Us

The Sweetwater Rifle & Pistol Club was first started in the late 1940's.  The club was formally organized in the early 1950's and affiliated with the NRA in 1959.  The SRPC was designated as a 501(c)(7) "social sporting club" in 1962 and has limited non-profit status.  The club maintains a membership of 250-300 active "paid up" members.  The current annual dues are only $50.00 and each member has access to all of the clubs great shooting facilities. 

As Stated In Our SRPC By-Laws:"The purpose of this organization shall be the encouragement of organized rifle, shotgun, pistol and revolver shooting among citizens of the United State of America with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, improved marksmanship, and the protection of the right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed in the Constitution of the United States of America."
